Primavera Sound invites Perfume, Rina Sawayama, Otoboke Beaver and Wata Igarashi for 2022 edition

Recently confirmed to take place in 2022, the music festival Primavera Sound in Barcelona has also shared the lineup for the two weekends in June 2022, 2-4 and 9-11). Many of the artists that were confirmed for the cancelled 2020 and 2021 editions will be performing in 2022.

Among those big names as Gorillaz, Massive Attack, Bauhaus, Charli XCX, Japanese Breakfast, there are also confirmations of Japanese artists performing at the Spanish music festival. The appearances of pop group Perfume, UK-based singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama, punk rock band Otoboke Beaver, and DJ and producer Wata Igarashi are confirmed for the 20th anniversary of Primavera Sound. In total, more than 400 artists are expected to perform at the 2022 edition of the multidisciplinary festival.

According to the official website of Perfume, they will perform in the second weekend of Primavera Sound 2022, namely on Thursday the 9th of June. Otoboke Beaver was confirmed for Primavera Sound 2020 and then the festival got cancelled twice. Currently they are confirmed for the first weekend on Thursday 2nd of June. On the same day, pop star Rina Sawayama will perform as well. Wata Igarashi will perform in the second weekend of the music festival, on Friday the 10th of June. It is unknown if these Japanese artists will connect a tour around this performance at this big music festival or if this performance will be an exclusive one.

Tickets for Primavera Sound 2022 are now on sale, although for some you have to be on the waiting list as the ticket sale started on the first of June and as expected, the ticket sale goes fast.
