After the confirmation that they will perform at Primavera Sound in Barcelona (on 1 June) and in Madrid (8 June), the three ladies, Ayano Omoto (Nocchi), Yuka Kashino (Kashiyuka) and Ayaka Nishiwaki (A-chan), of electro-pop group Perfume, will perform in London on the 3rd of June. The show, scheduled to take place at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, will be their first London show in 9 years and is titled Code of Perfume.
General tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday 14 April at 10.00 AM (BST). If the addition of this show in the United Kingdom will mean that Perfume will add more shows in Europe is unknown, fans have to wait and see.
Formed more than 20 years ago, Perfume can be seen as one of the most influential girl groups in Japan. They are renowned for their innovative and futuristic performances. Capsule’s Yasutaka Nakata is their producer and songwriter. After releasing Future Pop in 2018, Perfume followed this up with the album PLASMA, released last summer. With many hits in their back pocket, they have been able to tour around to world, with shows on big events like SXSW and Coachella, but also several European tours.
Originally, Perfume’s performance at Primavera Sound in Spain was supposed to take place in 2022, but this was cancelled by the group. In November last year, the trio announced it would perform at the 2023 edition of Primavera Sound.
