AVO Magazine is looking for volunteers who want to help out by writing interesting Japan-related articles. Do you have no problem with writing interesting pieces, do you enjoy creating articles, and do you love Japan or parts of it? Join AVO Magazine!

AVO Magazine, who?

We are an international team of people with an interest in Japan, from Japanese music to culture, to games to books to anime, manga and Japan-related events. While the focus of AVO Magazine will always be Japanese music, with the goal to promote indie music for a broader audience, there is always space for new topics to share. In the past we have published articles about the conversation of the taboo of having tattoo’s in Japan, 3.11 (The big earthquake in 2011, tsunami and Fukushima) to simply how to make friends at (anime) conventions. We also have been organising concerts and festivals in the past. More about the history of AVO Magazine can be read here.

What are we looking for?

At the moment we are looking for guest writers who know a thing or two about the Japanese music scene, and love to write reviews, informative articles, concert/event reports and interviews! So if you have an interest in Japanese music and are willing to dive into the information, please send us an email! We look for those who are serious and don’t mind to dedicate their time to article series. In addition, we are looking for some translators (Japanese, English, Dutch).
