Neo Kawaii quartet CHAI announced a worldwide tour, starting in the United States and ending up in Japan. In between these two tours, CHAI will embark on a European tour with shows in the United Kingdom, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, France and Spain. It will be the first time that CHAI will do a European tour.
CHAI formed in 2012 in the Nagoya region, identical twins Mana (vocals and keys) and Kana (Guitar) asked fellow high school classmate Yuna (drummer), and later Yuki (bassist), a college acquaintance, to join what we now know as CHAI. The band does have experience of performing outside Japan, in 2017 they performed at SXSW followed by a series of dates in the United States. In that same year, CHAI released their first album, titled PINK. CHAI joined British multinational indie pop band Superorganism during their World Tour in 2018, where CHAI performed in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Earlier this year, CHAI announced the follow-up to their debut album, on 15 March the Neo Kawaii quartet will release PUNK.
