2025 is setting up to be a good year for Japanese musicians with a Vocaloid background because not only Kikuo’s world tour has been going well, with several sold out shows, but the same can be said for Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu, with the North-American and European shows of his world tour.

Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu, known for his work on several popular animated works such as his song Spinning Globe in the 2023 Ghibli film The Boy and the Heron, is set to visit Europe and North America as a part of his 2025 WORLD TOUR/JUNK in March and April.

For fans of Japanese anime his music has become a bit of a household name due to his songs being featured in popular animated works such as: My Hero Academia, Chainsaw Man and The Boy and the Heron. However fans may have also gotten to know him from other areas such as his song Lemon being used as the theme song for the Japanese drama Unnatural or the Hatsune Miku songs he produced as Hachi.

Last year he released his latest album Lost Corner which, aside from Chainsaw Man opening theme Kick Back and The Boy and the Heron’s Spinning Globe, also contains a multitude of other songs like his 2024 single: Sayonara, Mata Itsuka!. After the release of the album the year concluded with the release of single Azalea which featured as the theme song for Netflix series Beyond Goodbye.

You might think that he is busy enough with the Japanese leg of the JUNK tour since it kicked off on the 9th of January but fans get to enjoy more music with the release of his new single Plazma that serves as the theme song for film Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-.

Although the tickets are already sold out the two shows in the United States still have some “verified resale” tickets available. Furthermore with such succesfull ticket sales we can hopefully expect more tours in the future.
