In the spring, it was announced that steampunk metal band FATE GEAR would be returning to Europe for a short tour, including their first show in Italy. Two further shows are to be added to the band’s touring schedule, namely two special performances at the German event Connichi in Wiesbaden as guest of honour. Instead of a regular performance with the entire band, these shows will be intimate duo sets by guitarist, composer and bandleader Captain Mina and vocalist Hime Hashimura.
In addition to the special performances on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September, the two musicians will hold autograph sessions. After these performances, the members of FATE GEAR will travel to Milan for the first show of their Frozen Abyss Tour. The metal band has indicated that they will be performing their new songs during this short European tour.
Last year, the metal band celebrated their tenth anniversary with a world tour, including European shows, which concluded in Japan at the start of this year. In terms of music releases, FATE GEAR released their very first compilation album at the end of 2025 to celebrate the steampunk metal band’s tenth anniversary, entitled BEST – Angelic Melodies. Their latest release, an EP titled 冥王と慈愛の天使 (When the Angel Fell for the Devil), is filled with symphonic death/black metal songs. On one track, Captain Mina takes the microphone for death growls. Guest vocalists on this EP release are Rie Tanaka, KOKOMI, and Hime Hashimura.
