That the tribal-psych trio KUUNATIC would tour Europe is no surprise anymore, but a total overview of the upcoming European tour was not shared until today, though the band has not been idle and shared several confirmed shows in recent months. With their debut album Gate of Klüna in their back pocket, they will perform 31 shows in 12 European countries, starting from Tuesday 24 May in Bristol.
With the tour poster, the trio shared the following message: “It’s been already 3 years since we toured in Europe last time so we are really looking forward to performing live shows and meeting people there!” The tour poster is designed by bass player Shoko, this design will also be used for the t-shirts that they will be selling during their upcoming tour.
KUUNATIC have toured Europe a couple of times since their formation in 2016. The Tokyo-based band consists of members with all completely different musical and cultural backgrounds. They integrate traditional Japanese music, Latin music, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, dub music, horror film soundtrack music etc and express their outlandish world. Topping with 3-female vocals, they make listeners trip into their ritual translunary land. Their first EP was titled KUURANDIA, released in late 2017 and followed up by a split 7″ single with Taiwanese fuzz psych garage band CROCODELIA. KUUNATIC are Fumie Kikuchi on keys and vocals, Yuko Araki on drums and vocals and Shoko Yoshida on bass and vocals.
