Following the official kick-off on 26 April in Norway, where solo musician Himari Tsukishiro was accompanied by her backing band, the Lilin, the European leg of Isiliel’s 2025 world tour continues this month with multiple dates.
Titled Moonbow Rebellion, named after the Japanese metal idol’s latest album, Isiliel will travel to six countries to present her newest songs with her backing band, starting on 5 July, including several Japan-related events such as TomoFair XL, HYPER JAPAN, and NärCon Sommar.
Himari’s solo project has now been active for more than three years, with emphasis on the word “active”. In addition to releasing a lot of new music, she has also toured the world for a large number of performances. The solo artist effortlessly explores the boundaries between music genres such as blackgaze, folk music and even city pop, collaborating with international producers and songwriters to create a compelling and mystical universe in Isiliel’s music.
In 2023, Isiliel released her debut album, 月虹創聖記 (Moonbow Genesis), where she collaborated with Nicholay Hovland for all songs and Fredrik Nordström (At the Gates, Arch Enemy, In Flames) for recording and producing the album. Isiliel’s second album, Moonbow Rebellion, was recorded in Bergen in Norway, and was released digitally and on CD at the end of June.
