HIGHFeeL and AVO Magazine present: 11 Japanese acts for AnimeCon @ Home

Belgian agency and tour organisation HIGHFeeL mobilised a number of Japanese musicians and bands who will fill an hour with music during AnimeCon @ Home. From the famous names like HITT, Ryo Fujimura and X Made Alcoholic Santaclaus, the audience will also get to know the musicians who hopefully will soon perform on Dutch soil. The special showcase streaming is in collaboration with Japan-related website AVO Magazine and will be shown on Saturday 6 June from 20.00 on the Twitch channel of AnimeCon and Facebook page of AnimeCon.

Among the Japanese musicians who will perform, there will be a few musicians that will now return virtually to AnimeCon, namely G.L.A.M.S, X Made Alcoholic Santaclaus and SATSUKI. In 2017 the gentlemen of G.L.A.M.S and in 2018 the Santas of X Made Alcoholic Santaclaus could be admired in the World Forum on the cosy stage in the Amazon Room in front of a large audience. In 2019, SATSUKI performed on the big stage at Ahoy. Other musicians who have performed in Europe before or hoping to do very soon and joined this special project are: Good Thru Date, Sho Kotani, Satsuki, G.L.A.M.S, HITT, Galaxy7, The Betrayed (Ryo Fujimura & Syu), Somei Yoshino (ex-OROCHI), Ekotumi and Kihiro (ex-LOKA).

The names HIGHFeeL and REALive goes often synonymous with each other, while they are not the same. REALive is a subdivision that promotes and produces Asian indie artists since 2007. HIGHFeeL does artist management, production and more. Recently HIGHFeeL released a charity album with friends of the company, titled Silent Spring. The album is distributed digitally and the profits from this album will go to local associations that help seniors and those working on the front lines during this crisis.

AVO Magazine is a bilingual website based in the Netherlands that shares the love for Japanese (indie) music and culture. The magazine has organised several festivals and concerts, including AVO J-Music Festival in 2018 and several collaborations with HIGHFeeL and REALive.

Originally, J-POP Foundation’s AnimeCon Classic would take place in the first weekend of June. Since the classic edition got postponed and the regular edition of AnimeCon being planned for next year, it would mean that 2020 would be without AnimeCon. The organisation noticed the several online events that have been popping up due to the current situation around COVID-19 and decided to hop on this train with an edition of AnimeCon @ Home in the first weekend of June 2020.
