The first edition of the Japan-related festival KeiMania in Germany has been postponed to 2021. The organisation shared a message on their social media about the postponement: “The health of all participants is very important to us and we do not want to have to do without anyone.”
The organisation emphasised that the event was not cancelled, but postponed. The new dates were not confirmed. But according to the organisation, all artist, labels and partners have confirmed that they will attend the event next year.
The event with a focus on music and fashion was planned for the weekend of Halloween, 31 October and 1 November, and had already a part of the programming announced with Visual Kei rock band TRNTY D:CODE as the headliner. This performance in Germany would have been their first overseas performance. TRNTY D:CODE is comprised of ex-KILLANETH members 丐 (Kai) and 39 (Saku) and released a couple of singles.
The programme of the first edition slowly began to take shape. Another band that was announced for KeiMania, was the German Visual Kei metal band GAZTREA. Furthermore, the clothing brand from Harajuku Listen Flavor was announced to be a part of the two-day event. More will be announced soon.
In the meantime, KeiMania is busy with the promotion of (Japanese) Visual Kei acts under the name Save Your Artist on their YouTube channel. Keep an eye on this channel for upcoming videos.
