The organisation behind the Belgian convention Atsusacon, Ganbaro VZW, has announced that the 2020-edition which was also supposed to be the 10th-anniversary edition will be cancelled. The decision to cancel the event has, as expected, to do with the current situation regarding COVID-19.
A message was shared by the organisation on their social media: “Maybe you already saw this coming, but sadly we have to announce to you that the 10th edition of Atsusacon will not be happening this year due to recent events related to COVID-19 and because we want to guarantee everyone’s safety. However, our team will not stop and do everything we can to offer you a cool edition in 2021, so see you next year!”
The convention was originally planned for 11 and 12 July at Gent ICC and had the theme Ninja vs Samurai. Atsusacon will now focus on a new edition in 2021, which will still be the 10th-anniversary edition of the convention. The dates of the convention have yet to be announced.
