This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.
Heart – Chocolate Ferris Wheel – Simple
Price: ± €4
Extra supplies: Scissors, Spoon, Scotch Tape, Refrigerator, Microwave*, Heatproof Bowl or Cup
* Instead of melting the chocolate in the microwave you could heat it au bain-marie, with a heatproof glass bowl on top of a pan with a small layer of boiling water. Stir gently until all of the chocolate has melted.
With this kit you create a cute amusement park ride, a ferris wheel with chocolates shapes like a bear, a heart, a star, a cookie and more. This kit is part of the Japanese “Omocha-Gashi” series, with several amusement park rides, and I have reviewed a chocolate spinner and a merry-go-round as well. A fun detail are the paper images which you can stick to the lollipop sticks once you’re out of chocolates, so you can still play with the ferris wheel.
Flavour: ♥♥♥
I definitely liked the tasty and creamy milk chocolate, but I’ve never not likes Heart chocolate, it had a slight bitter aftertaste.
Time needed: ⧗
Making the chocolate shapes is very simple, you spend most of your time waiting for it to set. Putting the Ferris wheel together doesn’t take a lot of time.
Difficulty level: ★
This kit has simple steps, it’s easy to make the chocolates and the Ferris wheel is easy to put together as well.
Similarity: ??
As you can see the final result resembles the picture on the packaging. The only difference is the colour of the Ferris wheel itself, this doesn’t correspond entirely with the packaging.
TIP: Make sure you fill the mould well, so the star tips aren’t too thin so they won’t break when you remove the chocolates from the mould. Remove the chocolates carefully and calmly from the mould.
Want to enjoy this kit again?
Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
If you want to reuse the mould you could use any kind of chocolate you’d like to use, dark, white, milk or whatever flavour you’d like. You could use the mould to shape fondant as well, for example.
