Boris at Roadburn 2018

The organization behind Roadburn festival announced that Boris will perform at the 2018 edition. The band will perform the album Absolutego that came out in 1996. Next to that, the band will perform with Stephen O’Malley from Sunn O)))).

Absolutego was the debut album of the band. The album shows inspiration from the Melvins and Earth and consists of one long song full of drone. A song with the same title also appears on the album Dear that got released earlier this year.

The performance of Boris and Stephen O’Malley at Roadburn will take place on Saturday, April 21st.

Tickets for Roadburn 2018 are still on sale. In the new year, Roadburn will put the day tickets on sale, for now, the weekend tickets are on sale. More information can be found on the website of Roadburn Festival.

Roadburn Festival is an annual international rock festival held every April in Tilburg, the Netherlands since 1999. It was set up as a spin-off of the Roadburn music website. Roadburn can be seen as Europe’s leading underground festival for psychedelic, avant-garde, doom or any other variations that push the boundaries of music. Tickets for this festival normally goes really fast, because of its popularity and the interesting line-up.

More interesting Japanese acts have been confirmed for Roadburn Festival 2018, under the denominator The Japanese Psych Experience, check them out in this article. Next to that, it has been announced that GREENMACHiNE will perform at Roadburn 2018.
