It’s always difficult to draw in a large crowd on weekdays unless it’s a musician or band with world fame. S!N isn’t an unfamiliar name for the utaite fans, but to the ones who don’t interest themselves in this creative branch it is. Still, S!N has quite a number of fans residing in Europe, and he collaborated with HIGHFeeL to tour through Europe for the first time.

During such a first tour it’s always wait and see in terms of audience showing or not. S!N has quite some competition with other tours from Japanese bands, but also the rising popularity of KPOP has resulted in empty wallets for the music lovers. Yet dozens of fans have flocked to the first Belgian concert of S!N, to enjoy the music in the Liege-based venue Le Garage.

These fans saw the meaning of enjoyment a little differently than the musician S!N, considering the singer encouraged the audience to move more. “Did you come here just to see me? Then you can better watch concert videos.” After some encouragement the audience put it’s shyness aside and started to get into the music.

The venue wasn’t packed, but the audience did their best to fill the venue with their enthusiasm. That enthusiasm was contagious, seeing that the singer had a lot more interaction with the audience during his songs. The songs balance between rock and metal here and there, with the singer’s grunts as a benchmark for headbanging or moshing.

S!N had embarked on a tour by himself this time and normally he takes a band with him. This always makes it a challenge to get the audience behind you, being all by yourself, while you sing with the music “on a tape”. It seems to have worked for S!N, even if the beginning was a bit of a false start due to the shyness of the audience. He knows how to leave an impression with the use of his singing voice, but it feeds the curiosity to how impressive S!N’s performance will be when he’ll perform with his band.
