Rock trio Boris will be heading out to Europe for an extensive tour coming April, May, and June for a Heavy Rock Breakfast, which is the title for their first European tour in four years. They will bring a couple of bands with them, UK extreme metal/mathcore band Pupil Slicer for the first half of the dates (ending in Stockholm) and Japanese post-black metal band Asunojokei for the second half of the dates (starting in Helsinki and ending in Milan). The experimental rock band will perform at a couple of big festivals, such as Desertfest in London and Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Madrid.

The latest release by Boris is the twenty-ninth studio album, titled fade, the band released it in December 2022 without prior notice. That year marked the 30th-anniversary of Boris and after releasing the albums W and Heavy Rocks (2022), the trio decided to release the new album under the moniker of boris (in lowercase letters). According to the band, this new album is not bound by concepts of rock and music in general, but could rather be said to be a documentary of the world plunged into the chaotic age of Boris moving forward.

Earlier during the pandemic, the trio released the album NO, which could be seen as the most extreme album of their long career. The final track of this album was titled Interlude, which was done intentionally as the experimental band was working on their follow-up, which became W. NO and W combined together will be NOW, a duo of releases that respond to one another.

Still from the music video by the band ミイ (Myy) for the song "失恋 (Shitsukoi)". A girl with a ponytail in a lose knot is standing in lightly dim kitchen. There are some cleaned dishes air drying, while the girl is drinking from a cup. In the still it looks like she is deep in thoughts.
