Yokohama-born, London-based producer and musician Hinako Omori will have a short tour in Europe this Autumn, which will end up at festival Le Guess Who? in Utrecht. Omori will also perform at Amsterdam Dance Event as a support act of Holy Other. The tour will promote Omori’s latest release a journey…, which was released in March of this year.
Of Hinako Omori’s work is said that it is more like an immersive map of the mind in the ambient style than a simple recording because it uses therapeutic frequencies, woodland bathing (also known as Shinrin-yoku), and binaural sound. It feels more like a stream of thought that goes for far longer than the last note sung than a typical tracklist. The ambient artist Omori is currently a member of this long heritage of musicians searching for the therapeutic benefits of sound, as heard on Omori’s latest release.
