While fans of Esprit D’Air are waiting for the upcoming single release of Kai’s melodic metal and electronicore solo project, the music project has something else in store. Kai recently announced that a world tour is in the works for 2022, but before that happens, the first show of 2022 has been confirmed.

This live show is a special performance on 20 February at O2 Academy Islington in London. Esprit D’Air will be performing new tracks from their upcoming album, Oceans. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

The upcoming show will be their first live audience show since their sold-out headline performances at The Underworld Camden and Boston Music Room in 2018. With Kai on vocals and guitar, the live band will be a five-piece featuring Ryo on guitar, Yusuke on guitar, Takeshi (ex-member of Japanese power metal band Knights of Round) on bass, and Jan-Vincent Velazco (Pendragon) on drums.

Kai announced in a tweet about returning to London: “Can’t wait to play in London again in 2022!! I’m already excited… planning the show already!!” and followed this up with another tweet: “I think I have put the set list together already… it was very difficult because I want to play EVERYTHING!”

Right now, you can let Kai know where you would like to see Esprit D’Air live in 2022. This gives the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist a better idea of where fans are and where they want to travel to see the band live.

Recently, the melodic metal and electronicore solo project released a live album of their 10th-anniversary show, which was streamed live and since this year, Kai has been working hard to release a new single every six weeks with the support of his Patreon supporters. Read more about it in our interview with the musician about his band project. The upcoming digital single is titled, 津波 (Tsunami), and the video of this track will premiere on Esprit D’Air’s YouTube channel on Thursday, September 2.
