Earlier this year, the alternative rock band ZEROSHIKI was confirmed for the first edition of Japanese metal festival Metal Matsuri in London. The band announced that they will perform a couple more shows in the mainland of Europe. The shows, organised by AVO Magazine, will take place in The Hague and Antwerp.

In 2017, ZEROSHIKI supported NECRONOMIDOL in the United States and their performances in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, coming October, will be their debut. Active since 1998, under the name Hyakushiki (百式), the band changed their name in 2005 to their current name. The band consists of vocalist Dai, guitarist Shou en bassist Mugi. Last May, the band released the music video ROU which brought them onto the next stage, performing in Europe.

ZEROSHIKI will not perform alone on stage in The Hague and Antwerp, they will bring their friends, the modern rock band DEFINE ME from the Czech Republic with them. This band from Prague started out in 2015 and their music is sprinkled with heavy guitars, intense drums, melodious singing and a dreamy twist of samples and electronics. The band has been working 2 years on their debut album, titled Cobalt Blue, which will be released soon.

The same goes for the show in Antwerp, where you can also shop music merchandise in the shop of Rocking Bull before entering the bar. To enjoy the concert will cost you € 5,00. In the last seven years, AVO Magazine (mostly known under the denominator AVO and AVO Events) organised several concerts and festivals, mostly in collaboration with tour organisations. After the last festival in 2018, AVO J-Music Festival, AVO Magazine has been supporting several concerts and events, such as MUSIC LABEL NIGHT, Satsuki’s performance at AnimeCon and more. The concerts of ZEROSHIKI and DEFINE ME will be the first official concerts with a ‘stamp’ of AVO Magazine presents.

AVO Magazine is a Japan-related website with information about Japanese events in Europe, information about Japan, reviews, interviews and more. First started as a Japan-related web forum in 2003, it was transformed into a Japan-related web magazine in 2012. Although the forum was active until the beginning of 2019, the focus shifted onto the activities of the web magazine since it became more widely known.
