The organisation behind AnimeCon, J-POP Foundation, announced that they will have two separate editions of AnimeCon in 2020, a classic edition in the Summer and a regular edition in Autumn.
The Summer edition of AnimeCon will take place at a very familiar place for many visitors who visit AnimeCon for many years, namely Theatre Hotel Almelo. This edition will take place from 5 June until 7 June and will have as fitting theme AnimeCon Classic.
According to the organisation, AnimeCon Classic will be a more luxurious, more mature and more dazzling Japanese (pop-)culture experience. AnimeCon will revive the roaring twenties: so you can expect themed drinks, anime depicting the era, jazz and more! Western and Japanese twenties will overlap at AnimeCon Classic for a sensational weekend.
Tickets for the Summer edition of AnimeCon 2020 will start in January 2020. Hotel bookings will open after the ticket sales.
The exact date for the regular edition of AnimeCon will be announced at a later date.
