Product Review: Heart – Doraemon Pancakes

This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.

Heart – Doraemon Pancake – Simple
Price: ± €3 for one package
Extra supplies: Milk, Cooking Oil, Scissors, Spoon, Cocktail Stick or Toothpick, Pastry Brush, Microwave, Bowl or Cup

With these two kits you create two different Doraemon pancakes, each has their own facial expression and can be decorated with the included sauce.

Flavour: ♥♥♥
These pancakes are delicious, they’re fluffy and light. They taste a little like fluffy vanilla cake. The sauce was very tasty as well, it seemed to have both a chocolate and a caramel flavour to it.

Adding the sauce in the middle didn’t seem to add much flavour, adding it on top however did add a lot of flavour to the pancakes.

Time needed: ⧗
These kits don’t take a lot of time, just mix up the batter, cook it in the microwave and decorate with the sauce and you’re done. This won’t take very long to do.

Difficulty level: ★
Since this kit has very few and very easy steps to follow it’s not that difficult. Just make sure to be careful when applying the decorative sauce so the facial expression shows well.

Similarity: ???
As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks very similar to the packaging. The only difference is that the real thing looks a lot more like a pancake and has some holes in it.

TIP: Make sure you oil the moulds well so the pancakes come out looking like they should.

Want to enjoy these kits again?

Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry.

If you want to reuse the mould you could use pancake batter or use the mould to shape fondant or something similar. You could also fill it with something different, like pudding or chocolate.
