The four-piece brass band from Osaka, MOS, will be heading to Europe this summer for nine performances, mainly in Germany and Italy. It will be the first European tour for the Japanese band.
First up is a highly anticipated live show in Italy, scheduled for 22 July in Milan. This marks their very first performance in Europe. Following this, the four ladies will head to Germany for a series of festival appearances, including the Zelt-Musik-Festival (ZMF), Ruhrpott Rodeo, Brass Wiesn Festival and Zeltival.
MOS, which stands for Music Omotenashi Sisters, began activities in 2022 featuring an interesting line-up of wind instruments: tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, trombone and trumpet. With this instrumental line-up, the four girls – Erna, Miyu, AMI and Lotta – have for some time been performing rock music with influences from punk, melodic hardcore and ska. With this step in a new direction, they set out to explore what it means to be a wind instrument rock star today. This was captured on their mini-album HAPPINESS IS, which was released in October last year. In 2023, they took part in season 18 of America’s Got Talent and finished in the top 5 of the semi-finals.
