Composer and keyboardist Yasuharu Takanashi, known for his work on anime soundtracks such as Naruto Shippuden and Fairy Tail, has announced that he will be touring Europe again with his project Far East Groove. The tour, titled The Battle For Glory, kicks off on 30 September and comprises 10 shows across 8 countries.
Formed in 2024, the group was born from the ambition to unite two seemingly distant worlds: heavy metal and anime soundtracks. Yasuharu Takanashi works with international musicians for Far East Groove, including Juno, Nozomu Wakai (Sigh), Jesper Anastasiadis (Turisas), Tuomas Rounakari (ex-Korpiklaani), and Tino Jäntti (Wolfheart).
Just last year, Yasuharu Takanashi’s Far East Groove toured Europe, including a performance at Rock Imperium Festival 2025. With this performance, Takanashi became the first Japanese soundtrack composer to take the main stage of a major European rock festival.
