The photo shows six musicians standing next to each other on a deck near a lake. These musicians are part of the music collective Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. Most of the members are uniquely dressed in colourful clothing, most probably inspired by psychedelic and retro fashion.

In April, Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. will return to Europe for another extensive tour, titled Survive to Metaverse Tour. Just last year, they were celebrating the music collective’s 30th anniversary; this year, they will be joined by one of the founding members of the collective, Cotton Casino, who hasn’t performed with Acid Mothers Temple for more than 20 years. She will be performing the first half of the European tour (up to and including the show in Belgium).

The European tour will start with an Artist in Residence during Roadburn Festival 2026, where they will perform three performances presenting the past, present, and future. After these performances at the Dutch festival, the group will continue their tour in the United Kingdom, with eleven shows. Then they will continue their tour on the mainland of Europe, with performances in Belgium, Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, and many more. At the moment, the music collective has confirmed 35 shows in 17 countries.

Acid Mothers Temple have been active since 1995 and have built up an enormous discography that is easy to get lost in. During the pandemic, the band launched a Bandcamp page, through which they released more than 60 albums, including a wealth of previously unreleased material. They’ve hosted several 24-hour listening sessions for their fans, featuring their digital compilations AMT24, AMT24 vol.2, AMT24 vol.3, and AMT24 vol.4. These releases offer a mix of older material and a few new tracks.

Over the years, the group has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including psychedelic pioneers like Gong and Guru Guru, Simeon (Silver Apples), Nik Turner (Hawkwind), as well as notable Japanese artists such as Afrirampo, Tatsuya Yoshida (Ruins), Maso Yamazaki (Masonna), Seiichi Yamamoto (Boredoms), Jun Kuriyama (The Ox), and many more.

Besides Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., other variations exist within the larger Acid Mothers Temple universe with contributions from different combinations of band members. This led to different band names for those specific projects, branded ‘AMT’, think Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno, Acid Mothers Temple SWR, Acid Mothers Temple & The Space Paranoid, to name a few. Yet Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. can be seen as the main project, the core of their music. Each of these projects explores different aspects of psychedelic and experimental rock, but all are linked by the distinctive, surrealist style popularised by Acid Mothers Temple and the group’s founder, ‘speed guru’ Makoto Kawabata.

A group photo of the band Iscream Never Ground posing in front of a colourful backdrop, created by graffiti. All members are dressed in the same way, same dark shirt with paint splatter motive, but they are wearing a different colour pants and shoes. Those pants and shoes are in the same colour for each member, perhaps used as a member colour. The members stand in a row and strike a pose as if they are making an exaggerated walking motion: one leg is raised and the other is on the ground, one arm is balled into a fist and held close to their face, whilst the other arm, also with a clenched fist, is positioned behind them, with their elbows bent. © アイスクリームネバーグラウンド - Iscream Never Ground

A cropped version of a photo of Shuya Onuki as KAMIKAMIKAMI, but edited in a way that it shows an eerie and mysterious moment. The photo consists of a bright light source, most probably the sun, and the musician who seemed to have taken the photo in a window. The editing is done by Floor Toppets @/fl00r99 on Instagram, and shows blurring and filters, making it an abstract photo.
