As part of the Moth to a flame world tour, brand new horror idol group Phantom Siita will make their first appearance in Europe for a number of shows. Although brand new, the group is quite intriguing from the start.
In fact, the five group members were brought together by producer and singer Ado (who herself will soon kick off her second world tour) and released their first single, おともだち (Otomodachi), in June last year, with which they have already made a good impression with their retro horror theme. In October, they released their debut album, 少女の日の思い出 (Shoujo No Hi No Omoide). The term Siita from the group name refers to the monarch butterfly, or as seemingly Ado has said: “If modern-day idols are butterflies, then Phantom Siita’s members can be seen as moths – terrifying yet beautiful.”
The world tour kicked off earlier this month in Asia and continues next week in North America. In February, the group touches down in Europe, starting in Utrecht on 13 February and continuing with shows in Paris, Berlin, and concluding in London.
