After skipping a couple of years due to the pandemic, the German convention AnimagiC will return coming August at Congress Center Rosengarten in Mannheim with an interesting musical programme from the 5th to the 7th of August. One of the first big announcements was done recently, where the convention shared that they will work together with anisong label SACRA MUSIC to present SACRA MUSIC FES. @ AnimagiC 2022 with three musicians live on stage to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the label. The performing artists are Aimer, ASCA and ReoNA.

Aimer will be returning on the stage of AnimagiC, while the performances of ASCA and ReoNA will be European premieres, which means that they have not performed in Europe before.

Get to know: Aimer

Following her AnimagiC premiere in 2015, the singer Aimer will return to the stage of AnimagiC. Currently she is enjoying international success with the opening song Zankyo Sanka for the hit anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc, which set an all-time record with seven consecutive weeks at #1 on the Japanese HOT 100 Billboard chart. Aimer acquired her distinctive breathy, smoky, warm sound after losing her voice to strain at the age of 15. The artist now looks back on six chart-topping studio albums (most recently: Walpurgis in 2021), numerous anisong hits (including on top series such as Vinland Saga and Fire Force), and her tenth anniversary after her major-label debut in 2011, among others.

Get to know: ASCA

The Aichi Prefecture-born artist laid the foundation for her anisong career in 2011 with her participation in the fifth Japan-wide Animax Anisong Grand Prix, where she sang her way into the finals with her powerful voice. Her major-label debut single KOE accompanied the anime series Fate/Apocrypha in 2017, followed by several theme songs for Record of Grancrest War. While singing her way into the hearts of Sword Art Online fans with her single RESISTER (Sword Art Online Alicization), she released the song Kimi ga mita yume no monogatari for the anime series Lord El-Melloi II’s Case Files {Rail Zeppelin} Grace note in January.

Get to know: ReoNA

With her fragile yet crystal clear voice, the artist has become a specialist in highly emotional songs since her debut in 2018. She sees herself as a neutral mouthpiece who lets the despair speak from her songs. Sword Art Online fans know her as the voice of Elsa Kanzaki in Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, as well as for her numerous song contributions to the franchise, including the Alicization theme song forget-me-not, the insert song Niji No Kanatani, the War of Underworld opening theme ANIMA, and the opening theme Scar/let for the BANDAI-NAMCO Sword Art Online game Alicization Lycoris.

In addition to these three musicians, there are more musical acts announced for AnimagiC 2022, such as singer-songwriter and cosplayer Miura Ayme, pop singer-songwriter Anly and singer-songwriter Kashitaro Ito. More information about the programme can be found on the website and social media channels of AnimagiC.
