Alternative rock band tricot will postpone their European tour, originally scheduled for March and April of this year, to the autumn of 2022, in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The members of the rock band shared a message on their official website: “We are very sorry and sad to inform you that the UK and EU tour has been postponed. Sorry for the inconvenience to those of you who bought tickets already, and waited for our shows, but we hope that the fun has just been postponed. We’ll be back there getting even cooler than we are now, so please keep your eyes on us.”

The WALKING × WALKING TOUR 2021-2022 will now begin on 12th of September in Sheffield, with nine shows in the United Kingdom followed by 11 shows in nine countries around mainland Europe such as France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Slovakia, ending with a final date in Barcelona, Spain. Tickets for the original dates in March and April will be valid for the rescheduled dates.

To ease the pain of the postponement, tricot announced a series of three livestream concerts in April, STOP × STEP tour for UK & EU in TOKYO, that is planned to be shown around the original timing of the European tour. The shows will be available to view all around the world and are scheduled at convenient times for the fans in Europe and in a way even North America. But there will be also an archive available for three weeks.

Two concerts can be viewed through the streaming platform Zaiko, day 1, named HIMITSU at Shimokitazawa BASEMENTBAR on Friday 1 April, and day 3 YOSOIKI at Shindaita FEVER on Sunday 3 April. On day 2, BAKURETSU at Shimokitazawa Flowers LOFT on Saturday 2 April, the show can be viewed on tricot’s official YouTube channel. Fans in Japan who attend this specific show in-person will be allowed to livestream from the venue to their own channels, and fans around the world can view these livestreams to get a fan’s-eye perspective of the show. The hashtag #tricotSST can be used when you post your tweets or find tweets of others.

In December, the alternative rock band released their latest album, titled Jodeki. Last week, they released a new single, titled End Roll, this song also received a music video. This song is the opening theme for the Japanese television series liar.

All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.
