AniPlaylist created new service to generate your own Spotify playlist
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on RedditShare on Tumblr

The French website AniPlaylist recently presented a new addition to its database. It offers an opportunity to generate your own personalised music playlist on Spotify based on the anime series and films you have watched in the past..

To be able, you need to have an account on AniList or MyAnimeList next to an account on Spotify. After verifying your Spotify account, you can select the website you use to catalogue the anime series and films you have watched. After that, a playlist with 50 tracks will be created for you to enjoy. The new website feature has been out since this summer and AniPlaylist has received positive comments from those who have been following the project. Recently the option to generate the playlist with your AniList profile has been added to the feature.

AniPlaylist started out as a project on social media and Reddit to share news about which songs are added or removed from Spotify but also the creation of several anime-themed playlists and this grew out into a dedicated website database where the founder and developer Angy created a way to make it easier to find songs related to anime series and films on Spotify. Searching songs can be done based on anime, season, song title, artist, song type, label and country availability. In addition, it is possible to search in English and Japanese. This project has started with the goal to let music fans know that there is more and more music in the anisong category that can be legally streamed online.

These services are offered for free, but it is possible to support this project by donating a digital coffee or through Patreon. This way you can support the web project by keeping it online and make it possible to create more services in relation to AniPlaylist.

Colourful photo of singer-songwriter Anly posing in front of a painting by Karin Okoso. The painting shows a lot of yellow and orange hues while the musician dresses a blue denim blouse and black skirt. Anly's right hand is resting on her head while she looks up. Her fingertips are painted green and might give an idea that she has been working on a painting before taking the photo. Photo by Seiya Fujii.
