After the German government decided on extending lockdown measures and the current unpredictable development of the pandemic, the organisation behind the German convention AnimagiC decided that it is impossible to organise a 2021 edition. It is the second time that the convention has to cancel their event due to the pandemic.
The organisation elaborated on the cancellation of the event: “With regard to mutations that have occurred and the progress of the vaccination make further and, above all, serious planning of this year’s AnimagiC almost impossible. Since your health and that of all participants is our top priority, it is with a heavy heart that we have to officially cancel AnimagiC 2021.” The cancellation of AnimagiC 2021 means that there will be no postponement or modified replacement event this year as well. Instead the organisation announced the dates for the 2022 edition: from 5 to 7 August at Rosengarten Mannheim.
Ticket holders will receive an email soon from the organisation with information about the refund procedure. If you are sure that you will attend the 2022 edition, you can also keep your ticket as this one will remain valid.
