To celebrate the 15th-anniversary of post-rock and instrumental band te’, the four-piece decided to broadcast their performance at the well-known live venue, Shinjuku Loft, for their fans around the globe.

The live show is planned for Friday 2 October from 20.30 Japanese time (12.30 British Time, 13.30 Netherlands time) and can be seen on Zaiko and the YouTube channel of Zankyo Record. While the show can be watched for free on YouTube and only for the first 30 minutes, you will also notice that the quality of image and sound is downgraded.

The platform to watch and listen to the full show in better quality is called Zaiko, where you will be able to enjoy the show with multi-angle cameras. But to see this performance, you have to buy a digital streaming ticket for 2000 yen. Purchasing this ticket is possible for everybody living inside and outside of Japan. If you are checking out the YouTube live and decide midway to check the show in better quality, this is even possible and later on, to watch the archive of the performance. Also good to know is that if you cannot attend the stream on the day itself, you can watch the archive until the end of the day of the 6th of October (Japan time).

te’ consists of guitarists Kono and Hiro, bass player Matsuda and drummer Tachibana. In addition of being active in the band te’, the band members are also active in various fields and other bands, not only as performers, but also as composers, arrangers and producers, making them skilled in their craftsmanship. But they also have branched out in other corners of the creative scene by working in the fashion, game, animation, and advertisement industry.

With an instrumental band like te’, it is necessary to convey the story through the musical instruments. The band knows how to do this by giving one of the guitars the leading role and surrounding it with a wave of fast intensity. They are not here to cuddle you with cosy sounds, but to wake you up with an accumulation of voluminous and complicated melodies.

The focus of the band has not been only on their homeland Japan, they have been releasing internationally and also toured overseas. In total, they have released 6 albums and managed to become exceptionally popular in the Japanese underground scene. The latest release of te’ dates from 2017, an EP with five tracks entitled 櫂 (Kai).

The clothing is mostly black but differently decorated, with red and blue stripes, white stars in different sizes, and other symbols or words.
