After quitting their fulltime jobs, it was time for the ladies of punk-rock-garage quartet Otoboke Beaver (おとぼけビ~バ~) to go touring all over the world. To celebrate their next step in life, they went on touring in Europe last February and had planned on returning to Europe in the Summer period for a few festival performances. Currently were are worldwide in a strange situation that has caused lockdowns and measures for many countries, this had consequences for a lot of plannings for many musicians around the world, including Otoboke Beaver.

Of what was already known from the band’s tour schedule, were performances at Primavera Sound 2020 and the Green Man Festival 2020. Primavera Sound in Barcelona had to postponed their 20th anniversary to the next year and shared a video as a thank you to their visitors. Green Man Festival called off the 2020 edition and directly announced new dates for 2021. On the Twitter account of Otoboke Beaver, but also the band members personally, reacted to the announcements of both festivals with the message “See you in 2021”, which means that the punk band is planning to come to the festivals in Spain and Wales next year.

Otoboke Beaver shared an official message on their Twitter account about their cancelled world tour: “We originally planned to leave for the world tour soon. We quit our job in January, and we were planning to travel around the world in 2020. But we are hibernating now and waiting for the time to explode. Please stay safe until the day when we can meet again.”

All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.
