Art Punk Psychedelic Rock trio TsuShiMaMiRe (つしまみれ) recently announced their European tour for June a few weeks ago, but earlier today they shared the conclusion that this tour can’t go ahead due to the current situation around COVID-19. Shows were planned in mostly Germany, such as Nippon Connection who just announced an online edition, but also France and Switzerland.

The three band members shared a statement on their Facebook page with the tour flyer: “We will try to return for a tour in 2021. May it all come to an end as soon as possible! We wish you all the best of health!”

The three was planning to return to Europe after a few years and after celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2019 with a Greatest Hits album, Japan tour, Northern America tour, a performance at Arabaki Rock Fes and a couple of one-man shows in Japan.

The band TsuShiMaMiRe has been active since 1999 and consists of vocalist and guitarist Mari, bass player Yayoi and drummer Maiko. Their music is made of elements from different genres; rock, punk, garage, but also hip-hop and children songs. Over the period of 20 years, the band released more than 13 albums and given about 1800 shows over the world.

All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.

Still from OTO MAYUMI's music video for the song "だって (Datte)". The singer-songwriter is standing in front of a wall on which a beamer shines seemingly psychedelic-like patterns. As she stands between the beamer and wall, a shadow of herself is created on the wall. She looks up after dancing. The video is directed by Pierluigi Patella.

Text of "Bandcamp Friday" and "Suggestions September 2022" on top of a radio, edited in a way that there was a glitch. The result is that there are more radio's in the image. With added filters it is made colourful with the added colours of red, blue and green and mixes of that.
