Heart – Candy Princess – Elaborate

With this kit by Heart you create a cute candy princess, there are two versions available. In the packaging you’ll find parts to put together a plastic doll and stickers to give that doll a face and a top. There are four varieties of the stickers available and you get one of the four versions. So it’s a surprise which one you get. You’ll also find some pink kneadable candies and blue candy balls.

The blue candy balls are crunchy on the outside and powdery on the inside. They taste sour, a little lemony as well. The pink taffy had a faint strawberry flavour and wasn’t too sweet, in my opinion.

This set doesn’t take up a lot of time, the parts are easy to put together and the doll is as well. This kit does have a few more steps than most of the simpler kits.
Difficulty level: ★★
The steps of this kit, kneading the candy, pressing it out and placing the candy balls and the decorative candies, are fairly simple. Placing the stickers takes some effort and making the hair does as well.
Similarity: ??
The final result looks pretty similar, but it does look less perfect than on the packaging. It’s hard to get the hair exactly the same, but the colours do match well with the packaging.
TIPS: If the candies are hard to knead you can use the included ziplock bag to put them in and put this in hot water for a few minutes.
Use a sharp knife to cut the candies when needed and to apply the stickers to the dolls.
Want to enjoy these kits again?
Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
If you want to reuse the mould you could buy some more knead able candies or use fondant to make the dress and the hair again.
