This sounds like the type of anime to which a lot of people with anxiety might be able to relate to. Also even though it sounds the usual school-type of anime, this shows it will possibly very different!

It includes music, drama and is happening on a school. Basically everything which is needed to make me curious about this anime! As well I heard the manga is rather popular and includes nice artwork, so I am pretty sure this anime won’t be disappointing!

Just reading the storyline for this anime made me very curious. Upon looking at the trailer, I also saw how beautiful the artwork looked and I became hooked on instant! This project made by DMM Games will also release a game this winter. So every reason on it’s own makes this anime worth watching in my opinion!
Carole & Tuesday (キャロル&チューズデイ)

This anime brought to you by Studio Bones is a nice mix of Sci-Fi, music, drama and romance. It’s about two girls who, as you might have guessed, are called Carole and Tuesday. Both of them are from different cities and have a very different living environment, even their lifestyles are completely different. Still, there is one thing that they seem to have incoming and that is their love for music and singing. After they meet, they choose to go on this adventure and make music together.
Recommended by Anvica:
I recommend this anime not only because the famous Studio Bones is releasing it with their unique signature animation style but also because the music theme is brought back anew. If you like following the journey of two girls that have never met before but decide to change something about their worlds together, this surely is the anime for you. It’s not just the music, but the diversity of themes makes a promise for a very special show in my opinion.

As someone who watched the original anime, I can’t wait to see this one be brought to life again with a more modern drawing style. Back when I watched it, probably 10 years ago now, I loved the storyline but didn’t love the drawing style. Even the mangaka, Natsuki Takaya, was happy there was going to be a new anime with a more modern style, rather than it keeping to her manga’s style.
Isekai Quartet (異世界かるてっと)

One day a mysterious button appears, once pressed the characters from Konosuba, Re:Zero, Overlord, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil, are sent to the same alternate world…
Recommended by AlexD:
I’m a huge fan of Konosuba so anything related is a must. Saying that, it will be interesting to see these characters from different series interact with each other. It is a nice mix that have taken the isekai genre in different directions. Sure the chibi style shows it isn’t a major production but will be a fun show nonetheless.
Kabukichou Sherlock (歌舞伎町シャーロック)
Type: Anime
Studio: Production I.G
Genres: Mystery, Comedy, Drama
Starts airing: April 2019
Number of episodes: Unknown
In April 2019 we will have the opportunity to get to know the new anime series, Kabukichou Sherlock. A mysterious, comedic drama is brought to us by Production I.G. as an anime-only series this time. As you might have thought the anime takes place in a part of Tokyo Shinjuku named Kabukichou, the entertainment district in Tokyo. The name Sherlock will probably ring a bell, of course, this is a detective type anime series with the much-needed mystery around the happenings in the Neon rich Kabukichou.
Recommended by Anvica:
I recommend this anime because the detective genre in this setting really spoke to me. The animation looks great and I was drawn to it. It’s still not clear where the story will go because this is an anime-only story so there is no manga or light novel to tell us more about the development. This makes it very interesting too.
Fairy Gone (フェアリーゴーン)
Type: Anime
Studio: P.A. Works
Genres: Action, Demons, Supernatural, Magic, Fantasy
Starts airing: 7th of April 2019
Number of episodes: Unknown
“Once upon a time, fairies were tools of war.”
Fairies possess and reside within animals, giving them mysterious abilities. By removing and transplanting the organs of a possessed animal into a human, fairies can be summoned as an alter ego and be used as a weapon. The individuals who used fairies as weapons were called “Fairy Soldiers.” After a long war, these soldiers lost their purpose and had to reintegrate into society, some started to work for the government, others joined the mafia, some even became terrorists, as each chose their own way to live. Nine years after the end of the war, Maria is a fresh recruit of “Dorothea”, an organisation which investigates and suppresses fairy-related crimes. Even in peacetime, the government is still unstable after the war. This is the story of Fairy Soldiers, fighting for their own justice in a chaotic postwar world.
Recommended by Hageshi:
This story sounds so unbelievable awesome! I have also seen the trailer and the fairies don’t look as “cute” as you would usually think of fairies, but really demonic instead! I’m really looking forward to an interesting anime, which doesn’t sound like the typical story, so I’m excited about this one!
One Punch Man Season 2 (ワンパンマン 2)
Type: Anime
Studio: J.C.Staff
Genres: Comedy, Parody, Action, Sci-Fi, Superhero
Starts Airing: 10th of April 2019
Number of Episodes: Unknown
The exploits of Saitama, the strongest hero who can defeat any enemy with one punch, continue into a second season. The story follows Saitama and his disciple Genos’ efforts to be recognised as the top-ranked heroes, in usually comical events.
Recommended by AlexD:
Having only recently watched season 1, I can see what the hype is about. One Punch Man is a hilarious journey, that really flips quite a lot of the superhero tropes on their heads. At the same time there are some deeper plots but ultimately it is one of the best superhero parodies out there. Although it will be interesting to see how a different studio manages the series, hopefully, it lives up to the first season.
Promare (PROMARE(プロメア))
Type: Movie
Studio: TRIGGER
Genres: Action
Starts airing: May 2019
A new animated movie by the famous and loved by most Studio TRIGGER. Not much is known about this movie’s plot but the collaboration of Studio TRIGGER with XFLAG promises a very energetic adventure. The movie is planned for release in May 2019 in Japan, there are multiple trailers to watch and even though they might be short, there’s much enthusiasm to gain from just watching them. With the creators of Kill La Kill and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann working together for this project, expectations are high.
Recommended by Anvica:
The animation style and variance of Studio TTRIGGER’s productions are enough for me to put this film on my ‘to watch’ list. The wild animation might not be for everyone but that doesn’t mean that with watching this movie you can’t enjoy a new probably crazy adventure.
