Popin Cookin – Crêpe Shop – Standard
Price: ± €4
Extra supplies: Microwave, Glass, Water, Scissors.
Most of the Popin Cookin kits have English instructions, which you can find here.
With this kit you create three cute crêpes, decorated with cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, strawberry candies and banana candies. You can create a wrapper for one of these crêpes as well.
Flavour: ♥♥♥
This kit has a lot of flavours, which all complement each other well. The whipped cream reminds me of the vanilla ice cream from the Cake Shop kit. The chocolate sauce tasted as you’d expect, like chocolate and the sprinkles like sugar, they were crunchy. The strawberry candies tasted like artificial strawberry flavouring, just as the banana candies tasted like artificial banana flavouring. The crêpes tasted quite a lot like crêpes.
Time needed: ⧗⧗
This kit takes a little time because there are quite a few steps to it. You can take as little or as much time as you’d like decorating the crêpes.
Difficulty level: ★★
Although the individual steps aren’t super hard, this kit does have a lot of steps. You need to be careful not to overcook the crêpes, that’s the only thing that can really go wrong.
Similarity: ???
Although the colours aren’t as vibrant and the crêpes are a bit more see-through, the final result does look very similar to the packaging.
Want to enjoy this kit again?
Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
If you want to reuse the mould you could create more strawberry gummies, replace the cream with whipping cream and the crêpes with kneadable candies that you flatten into a crêpe shape. You can use chocolate or chocolate sauce instead of the sauce and add sprinkles if you’d like. The banana candies can just be replaced with other banana candies.
