The new year has just started and UNiTE comes with a beautiful brand new video!
UNiTE (ユナイト) is a band founded in 2011 and members today are: Yui (singer), Shiina Mio and LiN (guitarists), Haku (bass) and Sana (drums). Their last single was Tengoku ni Ichiban Chikai Ongaku, released on September 21, 2016. Now it’s time for a new single, A Little Picture!
Colour often occurs in many of their videos and outfits. In A Little Picture, the use of colour has been done very nicely. It is a light video and with a touch of colour and the combination looks very quiet. They have also taken into account, it has not become overexposed. In the video, you can see the band members painting on canvasses and later they all bury themselves together under the paint. This way they show that they enjoy each other and do not take everything too seriously. The video is well put together, the effects are nicely done and in some paintings, you see animations that have been done well. There is also subtitling but it is in Japanese, except for a few sentences and words that are sung in English.
The music is fairly quiet but keeps a good pace. Besides the guitars, bass and drums you can also hear a trumpet through the music, it fits well and gives that extra bit to the song. This song gives a more pop-music feeling instead of rock, but that does not necessarily have to be bad. It is certainly no worse than their previous singles and that is a good sign. It’s a nice song to listen to and the fans can certainly be happy and hopefully look forward to even more new music from UNiTE this year!
