While many people started the new year with some hope of attending (Japan-related) events again, we find ourselves in February and the first events have already announced that they will either not take place this year or will take place later in the year, think of Roadburn, HYPER JAPAN and J-Popcon. Heroes Made in Asia, who still have their first edition planned in the Netherlands, have announced that the event will take place later this year instead of in May.
On their website and social media they stated the following: “As organisers, we find it unrealistic that large-scale indoor events will take place in May, partly due to the expectation that the vaccination process will not be sufficiently advanced by then. We do not want to leave you in uncertainty any longer and have therefore decided to move the edition to 16 and 17 October 2021 at an early stage.”
With already a few reschedules under their belt, it is hoping that this time Heroes Made in Asia will be able to organise the first event in Gorinchem. All ticket holders have since received an email about the new dates of the first edition of Heroes Made in Asia, but it is known that the purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates.
All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.
