Popin Cookin – Colorful Ice Cream Shop – Elaborate
Price: ± €4
Extra supplies: Microwave, Water and Scissors.
Most of the Popin Cookin kits have English instructions, which you can find here.
With this kit you create some adorable miniature ice creams. The kit includes three ice cream powders, a powder for the cups, a powder for the chocolate sauce and some sprinkles to decorate with.
Flavour: ♥♥
The ice cream bowls were very flexible when they first got out of the microwave, but after a little while they got a little bit less flexible and more crunchy in texture. They had a sweet cookie-ish flavour to them. The ice cream had a pretty smooth texture and quickly melts once you put it in your mouth. The intended flavours vanilla, strawberry and melon were clearly present.
The chocolate sauce didn’t have a very strong chocolate flavour to it, but it was tasty. And the sprinkles added a nice crunch.

This kit has quite a few steps so it does take a little bit of time.
Difficulty level: ★
The individual steps aren’t super hard and a lot of them are repeated, so you get better at them as you progress.
Similarity: 📷📷
Although my ice cream isn’t as picture perfect, the final result does look pretty similar to the packaging. The colours are a little less vibrant and the result looks a little bit less like actual ice cream, than the image on the packaging.

Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
If you want to reuse the moulds you could create more ice creams or whatever you’d like, like candies, fondant or even chocolate. Make sure you let the chocolate cool a little bit before pouring it into the moulds, since these are thin plastic moulds.
