This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.
Heart – Sumikkogurashi Stamp Pudding – Simple
Price: ± €2 for one of them
Extra supplies: Milk, Small Measuring Cup, Scissors, Spoon, Cocktail Stick or Toothpick, Refrigerator, Microwave*, Heatproof Bowl or Cup
* Instead of melting the gelatine in the microwave you could heat it au bain-marie, with a heatproof glass bowl on top of a pan with a small layer of boiling water. Stir gently until all of the gelatine has melted.
With these four kits you create cute Sumikkogurashi stamp puddings. The characters’ you can get on the stamps are Polari (Shirokuma), Pinguinosh (Pengin), Capucine (Tonkatsu) and Gattinosh’ (Neko). These sets are sold separately.
Flavour: ♥♥♥
The puddings taste like custard pudding with a caramel sauce and I thought they were very delicious and creamy, which is not a surprise to me since the Heart brand’s puddings haven’t disappointed me before. The creaminess does depend on the milk you choose to use, of course.
Time needed: ⧗
Once you’ve poured the pudding mixture into the mould you’ll have to be patient and wait quite a while, but these kits don’t require you to spend much time on the actual making of the puddings.
Difficulty level: ★
These are very easy kits. The only thing that could go wrong is that you don’t press in the stamp firmly enough, so pay attention to that, but even then you can usually fix it by pressing it in again.
Similarity: ???
The packaging shows what the final result will look like, it’s a good indication and the designs turn out very well.
TIPS: Use a small measuring cup to pour the pudding mixture into the moulds.
Make sure to press the stamps in far and hard enough so it leaves a clear outline of the design, otherwise you won’t see the design once you cover the puddings with caramel sauce.
You can use the toothpick or cocktail stick, or a the flat side of a knife, to spread out the sauce on top of the puddings, once you’ve dripped it on top.
Want to enjoy these kits again?
Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
If you want to reuse the mould you could make your own pudding, any flavour you’d like. You could also use the stamps to make indents on fondant or candies.
