In 2023, the three-piece band The Highmarts played their first shows in Europe, with a handful of performances in France, and this spring they will return with shows in France and Italy. The tour, organised by the French tour organisation Rockin’ Dogs, consists of ten shows, including a performance at the French Cosmic Trip Festival.

Described by Tokyo Weekender as ‘the future of Japan garage rock’, The Highmarts were formed 10 years ago in 2013 when the members were still junior high students. Led by guitarist and vocalist Suzu, who has been with the band since the beginning, the Tokyo trio draws inspiration from 1960s rock music (particularly group sounds) and 1970s punk.

At the end of 2025, the trio released a live album, Live At The U.F.O. Club, which is exclusively available on major streaming services. The album was recorded during the presentation of the 7-inch single All I Want Is Say You Love Me in the summer of 2025. In addition to guitarist and vocalist Suzu and drummer Minori, this release also features original bass player Shiori.
