Japanese sound artist and composer Yosuke Fujita, active under the name FUJI||||||||||TA, will return to Europe for a tour in April to present his latest set, A School Of Sardines In The Pipe. The tour consists of seven performances in five countries.
Fujita explores the boundaries between natural and artificial sound, shaping soundscapes that reveal hidden and unheard noises and harmonies. In 2009, he hand-built a hand-operated pipe organ that became the centrepiece of his artistic practice, the organ consists of eleven pipes. Since then, he has released a series of different sets presented at major contemporary music festivals around the world, such as Rewire Festival (Netherlands), Big Ears Festival (United States), Mode (United Kingdom) and recently La Biennale di Venezia (Italy) with drone metal duo SUNN O))). In addition, he has worked together with many other artists over the years, including ∈Ｙ∋ (Boredoms), Keiji Haino, Rashad Becker and Ka Baird.
