In October, three-piece guitar pop/rock band USURABI will be in Europe for the first time for a number of shows in France. Performances will take place in Metz, Paris and Clermont-Ferrand.

The three- piece band was formed in 2019 around vocalist and guitarist Akiko Toshimitsu of female psychedelic duo DOODLES. The band also includes bassist Masami Kawaguchi, known for his work with The Hardy Rocks (with Keiji Haino), New Rock Syndicate, and BroomDusters, and drummer Shigeki Morohashi, who is also active in the psychedelic band 魔術の庭 (Majutsu No Niwa) and known for activities in bands such as 宇宙エンジン (Uchu Engine) and Overhang Party. The musicians have known each other for decades as they were involved in a music club at university. Furthermore, Kawaguchi and Moroshashi have already played together in the legendary garage/psychedelic rock band BroomDusters.

Earlier this year, USURABI released their first live CD, Once In A Red Room, but before that, they released a limited cassette tape but also two albums on vinyl through French label An’archives, 灯の名残り (Remains Of The Light, 2021) and Outside Of The World (2023). In October, the third album will be released through this same label, Chita.
