The photo pictures the group GANG PARADE dressed in red and blue uniforms engaged in a live performance on stage. Most of the performers are have their open hand in front of their mouth as a pose, while a couple are singing into a microphone. The performers are arranged in a row and the audience can be seen in the front in the shadow.

Following the success of the first WACK in the UK event last year in November, WACK returned for round 2 with KiSS KiSS, ASP and GANG PARADE on 27 March. They were ready to enter The Underworld in London’s Camden town.

The crowd was a fantastic mix of seasoned fans from around the globe as well as first-timers and the curious and they did not come away disappointed many would have got here earlier in the day for cheeky signings as well as a VIP lunch. I would also like to give a shout-out to the WACK idol fan group going going WACK for giving out glow sticks.

KiSS KiSS

First to enter the Underworld Arena were KiSS KiSS, a sub-group of GANG PARADE. With their upbeat electronica and heavy beats which were an impressive juxtaposition to the fantastic outfits, it was also a moment for KiSS KiSS to celebrate as it was their one-year anniversary.

Next into the arena was ASP who were on the returnees of last year’s volume 1. After their first successful overseas appearance at that event, the anti-idol punk group were back in full force. They had fantastic crowd interactions and shared their love for fish and chips in between their heavy sound and punk leanings which had the spirit of their anti-idol forebears.

The final champions to enter the Underworld were the 13-member strong GANG PARADE, chart toppers with their album OUR PARADE. A special mention should go to their 14th member, ‘the crowd,’ who were in full force and very well organised. The wrist lights were amazing to see, and the switch to pink for GANG PARADE’s Yua’s birthday was a very sweet moment.

GANG PARADE

The energy they had was a symbiosis with the crowd and all members had a chance to shine, and it is really impressive how they were able to operate as a 13-person unit on the Underworld stage. An amazing sight for such a large group to flow and adapt their routines to such a tight working space.
