The four-piece rock band Bray me will be heading to France to perform at the festival Rock and Braye: Japan Edition.
Rock en Braye is an annual festival in the Sarthe department (northwestern France) organised by Akiroy Events, an association that has been operating since August 2022.

The 2024 edition of Rock en Braye is all about Japan, as well as (retro) gaming and rock music. The festival will be held from Friday 23rd of August to Sunday, 25th of August in Loir en Vallée and has a full music programme for the three days. There will be arcade and slot machines to play, demonstration of martial arts, a taiko performance, entertainment for children, as well as an opportunity to shop thanks to various Japanese and local stalls.

Bray me will perform twice during Rock and Braye: Japan Edition, they are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 24 at 4 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. Tickets for the event are available online.

In 2007 the four-piece band started under the name as BRAVE JACKASS, after a lineup change in 2011 the band continued as a trio under the name meme to change the band name for the last time another year later: Bray me. The band name is an amalgamation of the first two band names. Currently Bray me consists of vocalist, guitarist and co-founder Kotani, Anri Ito who is responsible for guitar work and background vocals, SAKKO, responsible for bass guitar and background vocals, and drummer, background vocalist and co-founder Arisa.

Over the years, they have released several singles and mini-albums with straightforward rock music and messages grounded in reality. In the year of Bray me’s tenth anniversary, the four ladies decided to start their own label, NottDagr. The label name is derived from the names of the gods and personification of day and night in Norse mythology and is inspired by the phrase “From good morning to good night,” which was also used as the title for Bray me’s live performances. In early 2024, the four-piece released their first full-length album, titled DUH. This was followed up with the release of a digital single in April, titled ツバメ (Tsubame).
