For the average visual kei listener KAMIJO is definitely not a stranger, chances are high you’ve heard his voice during his days with Versailles (symphonic power metal) or Lareine (baroque pop), next to those he also built up a decent repertoire as a solo artist and did several tours in the west. The last of which was a virtual tour during the COVID-19 pandemic after which it has been quiet for a while. Luckily you can finally experience him live again in Europe during his The Anthem tour, where he will be accompanied by HIRO (La’cryma Christi) & YOHIO on guitar, IKUO (BULL ZEICHEN 88, Rayflower) on bass, and USHI (VORCHAOS) on the drums.

The title of the tour The Anthem could point towards the most important or most influential songs out of KAMIJO his career since it’s been 10 years since his first mini album Symphony of The Vampire which got followed by his first solo album Heart. Inspired by French history and culture the story goes that Louis XVII managed to survive his captivity as an undead vampire that got saved by music. The album Sang from 2018 that connects past and present through count Saint-Germain who uses the ’emigré’ system which can convert blood into energy and in 2022 the album Oscar which continues this story where KAMIJO will have to reveal himself as Louis XVII and take up the role of ‘Oscar’ from the count.

The European tour will be organised by Envol Prod and won’t just visit Western Europe with performances in France, Germany, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom but also Finland and Hungary. Before the European tour kicks off, a show of the same title as the tour will take place in Japan on 20 April.
