It has been almost two years since Dhidalah toured Europe, but in May the trio will return for a number of shows. A total of 10 shows are planned, starting in Luxembourg and ending in the Netherlands for a show at Sonic Whip Festival, where label mate Minami Deutsch will also perform.

Currently comprised of guitarist Ikuma Kawabe (ex-Church of Misery), bassist and vocalist Kazu Gotoh and drummer Robin (ex-Minami Deutsch), the band originally started out as an instrumental heavy psych trio. While Ikuma Kawabe was playing as a guitarist for the band Church of Misery, the trio discovered a connection between music from different genres. Their sound reveals that connection, which is often described as space krautrock meets heavy doom. The group’s name comes from the mythological giant Daidarabotchi, which was believed to create mountains and land with its enormous size, much like Dhidalah’s sound. In 2022, the band released their second album Sensoria via Guruguru Brain.
