The Spanish convention Japan Weekend organises several editions through the year in Spain, and on the 18th and 19th of November, the event will take place in the city of Valencia. For this edition, they have invited musicians who have been very active in the visual kei scene: D=OUT vocalist Kouki and guitarist HIZAKI, who is known for his solo work and activities in Jupiter and Versailles. Both will be present at Japan Weekend Valencia for exclusive performances, sharing the stage together to play a special band session.
Not only is Kouki the vocalist of visual kei band D=OUT, the band has been celebrating their 17th anniversary this year, he is also active as a visual enka performer under the name Kouki Hanamizakura. In his performances, he makes sure to include what is described as Japanese beauty in his performances, think of the traditional string instrument tsugaru shamisen and a fan for his dances.
As mentioned before, HIZAKI is known for his activities in Jupiter as the bandleader and composer, but also the guitarist in Versailles, he also has been active solo as an instrumental metal artist and in his solo project HIZAKI grace project. In 2021, Hizaki signed with Setsuzoku Records to release a special combined release of Rusalka and Back to Nature. With his musicianship and striking appearance, HIZAKI has been impressing audiences worldwide.
The last time that Jupiter toured Europe was in 2019. For Kouki, it has been much longer ago, at least 15 years ago, with the band D=OUT, so his return to Europe will probably be very special for the musician.
