The Yoshiki Classical 10th Anniversary World Tour, in which YOSHIKI will perform a series of classical concerts with a full orchestra, is set to start very soon. On Friday the 13th of October, the leader of X Japan and The Last Rockstars, will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London and will be joined by special guests Ellie Goulding and St. Vincent.

During this show, Ellie Goulding and YOSHIKI will be unveiling their new collaboration live on stage at Royal Albert Hall while the new collaboration with St. Vincent, the classical arrangement of the song New York, will get another chance to shine after it was performed in the new music documentary film YOSHIKI: Under the Sky.

Those who cannot join the concert in London are in luck as it has been announced that the show will be broadcast live through streaming platform On Air. With tickets starting from €9.99, fans worldwide (except Japan) can watch the show via the On Air website, mobile and TV apps. In case you can’t see it live, it’s good to know that the concert will be available to watch for two years. Fans in Japan can view the concert event on WOWOW. The concert will feature a blend of YOSHIKI’s original compositions, fresh interpretations of classical masterpieces, and orchestral renditions of his chart-topping rock hits.

Yoshiki Classical 10th Anniversary World Tour with Orchestra 2023 “REQUIEM”, as the tour is titled in fully, includes headlining shows at Tokyo Garden Theater, Royal Albert Hall in London, Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and Carnegie Hall in New York. The concerts will celebrate the tenth anniversary of his Yoshiki Classical album which reached #1 on iTunes Classical charts in 10 countries. In addition, it is interesting to note that it will be the first time a Japanese artist will headline these venues.

Last month, YOSHIKI became the first Japanese artist to be honoured with a handprint and footprint ceremony at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood since the tradition began in 1927. He also made his directorial debut with the feature documentary film YOSHIKI: Under the Sky, which premiered in Tokyo, New York, London, and Los Angeles.
