A couple of the members of SIGH (in total there are three people in the photo), including founder Mirai Kawashima (dressed in black) and Dr. Mikannibal (dressed in traditional clothing but edited it in wearing it off the shoulders and with a bloody face), standing next to each other, two of the are holding swords while all are looking into the direction of the photographer. Behind them is a big tapestry or mural with the album cover of "Shiki".

If you are interested in some screaming distorted guitars with rough shrieking singing of epic proportions make sure to go to a metal festival near you this fall to see the European return of the metal legend SIGH from Japan.

It’s been a while since the Japanese experimental metal band SIGH visited Europe and this time they’re not only visiting to promote their latest album Shiki but also to celebrate the more than 30 years they’ve been making music. Originally started out with classic black metal but by now they’re not as easy to define with their clearly unique style combined with their metal roots.

During the tour, they will be on a variety of different metal festivals including Høstsabbat in Norway, Samhain Festival in the Netherlands and Europe’s greatest metal festival Damnation in the United Kingdom. As you can see from the title of their tour 30 Years of Eastern Darkness they celebrate that it’s already been 30 years since the release of their first full album Scorn Defeat and during the Night of Salvation, the first day of the Damnation festival you can experience a special setlist themed after it. On the remaining tour dates their set list will be partly themed after their latest album Shiki but aside from that you can expect songs from their broad repertoire from the past decades.

So are you feeling a unique metal concert from these Japanese legends? Get your tickets fast for one of their performances.
