In less than a week’s time, Tokyo-based underground idols GARUDA and Satanic Punish will embark on a mini tour in Europe with shows in the Netherlands and Germany. The event, titled IKIGAI – Vol. 1, is presented by The Chocolate Brothers in support of German Idol Society.

For GARUDA it isn’t the first time to perform in Europe as she has performed several times in the United Kingdom, but she has not performed in the Netherlands and Germany before. In the case of Satanic Punish, it will be the first time for the group to perform overseas.

GARUDA is the dark industrial gothic solo project of Yuffie Sakimura who is also active in rockabilly idol group MELON BATAKE A GO GO and was previously part of goth-metal idol group ReAlice. Recently she released a new EP, titled #GARUDA. GARUDA is a self-produced project by the musician whose debut live took place in the summer of 2017. Since then she has been able to perform several times in the United Kingdom, including the Indie, Idol and Infamous tour in 2019. It was now time to go further into Europe to showcase her performance skills for which she is known.

Formed in the summer of 2019, the concept of idol group Satanic Punish revolves around songs with overwhelming sound impact, mainly in the genres of metalcore and deathcore. Lately the line-up of Satanic Punish has changed a bit that the group currently has one member who is still standing strong, her name is ManaManomu.

To impress the audience with an extreme sound which in the past was dubbed by them as “fight music”, all idols that have been part of the group have had extensive practice to get the best out of them in regards to death voices, shouts, growls and clean parts. It will be the first time for Satanic Punish to perform overseas. Still, the name has reached overseas several times, including a mention on the website Metalsucks in the article “A Guide to the Heaviest Kawaii Metal Groups in Japan“.

For the two shows, there is a possibility to get a regular ticket, but also a VIP upgrade (the price is €40,-) that gives you early access to the live show, meet & greet with the musicians, a signed poster, keychain, wristband, bag and group cheki. To get this VIP package (that excludes the regular ticket), you have to send an email to the organisers of the tour, The Chocolate Brothers, with the subject “Application for VIP”, the information they need is your name and the venue location where you want to use this VIP package to this email address: moc.l1768664799iamg@1768664799iagik1768664799isreh1768664799torbo1768664799cohc1768664799. The regular tickets can be bought on the websites of the locations itself.

On the 9th of September in Cologne, there is an exclusive OFF-KAI event (the price is €35,-), an event that was introduced during the Doki Doki Deutschland event with 2& (DOUBLE AND) and Yurapico. This special event consists of a sightseeing tour in the city with the idols which will end up with a dinner at a restaurant to celebrate the Japanese musicians being in Germany. There seem to be a couple of places left for the OFF-KAI, so if you are interested, email The Chocolate Brothers.
