For the first time in three years, krautrock band Minami Deutsch (南ドイツ) will return to Europe for a summer tour in July and August.
The tour will consist of 25 shows in 9 countries and will be kicked off on the 28th of July in Germany with the last show of the tour taking place in the Netherlands on the 28th of August. There are a couple of festival shows scheduled during the upcoming European tour, such as Raw Power Festival in London and Palp Festival in Couvert du Goly.
Started by Kyotaro Miula (guitar, vocals, synthesizer) in 2014, the sound of Minami Deutsch is clearly influenced by their love for krautrock. Next to Kyotaro Miula, the krautrock band consists of guitarist Taku Idemoto and bassist Keita Ise. The band members are self-professed repetition freaks. The band signed at the label GuruGuruBrain – founded by members of local psychedelic rock band Kikagaku Moyo – and released their first self-titled release in September 2015, now seven years later, in 2022, we can look back at a couple more EPs and a second album, With Dim Light. The latest release was the EP Can’t Get There in 2019.
